Hi, my name is Christine Longo, and I am the Outreach Counsellor for the New Brunel site serving the Mississauga North-East area.

I have recently graduated from the Social Service Worker program, specializing in Gerontology, from Sheridan College.  This program gave me hands on training specifically in the field of Elder Care and Dementia Care.  This Diploma adds to my Honours B.A. in Psychology and my many years as a volunteer in non profit agencies, and recently with Trillium Health Care Centre in their Complex Continuing Care unit.

I am honoured to have the opportunity of helping our caregivers and those with Dementia, who live in the neighbourhood and those who use the new Brunel Day Centre, with the often long and complex Dementia journey. I can provide support in person, at your home, or in my office, over the phone or by email. Support can be in the form of counselling and support groups for the caregivers and those in the early stages of the disease, information, community resources and referrals to other agencies.
