An evening educational program will be offered at the Alzheimer Society Peel’s Port Credit location. This program is for family and friends of someone with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Sessions will be on five Thursday Evenings from:

The Davis Centre Family Council is offering a series of meetings for the FAMILY & CAREGIVER GROUP

An interactive supportive, educational and information program for those caring for individuals who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or related Dementias complete with a Question & Answer period

Education Programs
Enhancing Care


As part of our commitment to public awareness around Alzheimer's disease and related dementias the Alzheimer Society Peel
offers public, family and caregiver group educational presentations
with the Alzheimer Society Peel Education Coordinator.

Educational presentations are available to groups on such topics as:

- Warning Signs of Alzheimer's disease and How to Get a Diagnosis
- Community Services Available
- Communication Strategies in Dementia Care


Presentations can be given to work places over a lunch hour; or community groups in the evenings.
Topics are varied, according to the needs of the group.

As an example, groups can include workplaces, seniors centres, churches, service clubs, fitness
groups and high schools.
