My name is Katie Griffiths and I became the Outreach Counsellor for the Mississauga South location in January 2008. 

We see the need for support and information everyday. We also know that just talking to someone can help to resolve
or make easier some of the situations experienced by someone on this unique journey.

That's why we are here. We are able to spend time talking, gathering information, problem solving and sharing experiences.

Members from the community can call to talk over the phone, book an appointment for an office session or they can even join one
of our various Support Groups offered for family caregivers in the afternoon or the evening.  

We also offer Support Groups for those with a diagnosis, including an "Early Onset Support Group" for those under the age of
65 and a "Just For You Support Group" for those over the age of 65. People from the group, have stated that they feel very
comfortable meeting others with a similar diagnosis and it can be a positive experience to share trials and tribulations as well as
victories and triumphs.
