Sam McCallion Day Centre opened its doors in 1998 in honour of the late Sam McCallion, Mayor Hazel
McCallion's husband.  Nestled in the heart of historic Port Credit, the Sam McCallion Day Centre was the first
Day Centre opened by Alzheimer Society Peel.  Since 1998, the Sam McCallion has served hundreds of
individuals dealing with Alzheimer's disease and other related Dementias.

We offer an array of structured programs, designed to stimulate members and help them maintain their life skills
and cognition levels.

Some of the fantastic programs offered at the Sam McCallion Day Centre are:

·         Jewelry making

·         Learning to dance

·         Origami

·         Memory Bingo

·         Bell Choir with our in-house Music Therapists

·         "Music to Memories"

·         Price is Right, just to name a few

Here at the Sam McCallion Day Centre we regularly take our members to the lakefront and to the bay at Port
Credit where we enjoy delicious ice cream, weather permitting of course.  We have also travelled into Toronto to
see exhibits at the Science Centre and take in a show at Mississauga's Stage West Theatre.

If you're ever in the area, stop by.  We'd love to show you around.

Located in South Mississauga, the Sam McCallion Day Centre is conveniently located
south of the Q.E.W just north of Lakeshore Blvd.
